Asteroids
A pure classic. They had this in a restaurant in the county seat. I now wonder if THIS was the restaurant called Jack's Back...or maybe Jacks or Better.... or.....who knows. In any event they had an asteroids machine. Many places did. Asteroids was a hard game with a brutal and unforgiving RANDOM escape mechanic, Hyperspace. Hyperspace provided some great out of the frying pan and into the path of an oncoming asteroid moments.

Not to interrupt your flow but as far as line vector games goes, you have to mention Tail Gunner!
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed breaking up a bunch of asteroids then flying around a la Han Solo. NEVER TELL ME THE ODDS!
